Issue #18:
After the Autobots and Decepticons are forced out of the new Iacon, Bee and the other Autobots try to find someplace to settle. Injuries are horrible throughout the ranks and Bee is no exception to the rule, leading to the tiny leader passing out. This will be the last thing Bee remembers prior to waking up in R/A.

*History:
Full history here~

Now for the rundown:

Bee has been around and doing good deeds since Optimus Prime was Orion Pax. He was actually a member of Pax's team way back when and worked with him on a lot of cases pre-war. While they didn't always see eye to eye on things, Bee followed orders and was sent on quite a few dangerous missions. (Like stalking Soundwave for example.) He was taken hostage during that particular mission with Soundwave and used as leverage to get Orion Pax to do what the Decepticons wanted. He was rescued, thanks to the actions of their fellow Autobots, and continued to fight the good fight alongside Orion Pax.

Later down the road, Bumblebee is captured once more alongside Ironhide and Ultra Magnus and, before they can be executed, Hot Rod decides that he wants to be an Autobot and frees them. They all escape and make their way to rendezvous with Orion Pax and the rest of the Autobots.

Millions of years later, Bee was part of a Prowl's little expedition to Earth, where all Autobots involved were to remain under cover. This, unfortunately, didn't happen as Ratchet ended up breaking cover to save three humans and Bee supported his standing. He ended up traveling with Ratchet and the humans to explore another Decepticon base and, of course, they were attacked while the humans were inside exploring. This caused the bunker to start to collapse and Bumblebee had to work fast in order to save one of the humans--named Verity--before she was trapped and potentially killed.

Bumblebee was among the Autobot members that headed to Latveria to investigate some odd happenings and it was here that they teamed up with the Avengers to defeat Doctor Doom. (No, really, it's true. Apparently this became legit canon at some point.)

The Autobots ended up leaving Earth on board the Ark-32, heading to Cybertron to hide out because, well, the Decepticons had kind of forced them too. It was here that Wheeljack and Bumblebee found Hot Rod while they were out searching for Energon which lead to the Autobots and the Wreckers reuniting. They were eventually all attacked by an Insecticon swarm and managed to stay alive--outside of the loss of Sunstreaker--and transported back to Earth by Omega Supreme where the final throwndown with the Decepticons took place.

After the battle ended, the Autobots stayed on Earth and were kind of hated by humans, understandably so. Optimus Prime ended up surrendering himself to the humans, leaving Bumblebee the newly elected leader of the Autobots even though he really didn't want the position in the first place. It was hard goings, because he wanted to be nice to everyone and do what he could to help but really everyone was just walking all over him. Many Autobots ended up splitting off from the main group of Autobots, despite Bee's efforts to keep everyone together, and it was a hard blow to Bee's pride.

The human organization Skywatch met with Bee and they worked out a deal where the Autobots would have protection from Skywatch if they helped track own the Decepticons. Bee agreed to the terms and the Autobots started working with the humans to take down to the 'Cons that remained on Earth.

It turned out that this was a big mistake though, as Skywatch was actually using the Autobots and planning on double crossing them in the end, something that Bee figured out with help from Blurr. They ended up devising a plan to screw Skywatch over and Bee managed to free his fellow Autobots after some crafty work of getting the plans for the killswitches that had been installed on all the Autobots and reverse engineering them. He was injured in the process though and ended up getting some new upgrades during his hospital stay and a new confidence boost.

Ultra Magnus arrived on Earth not long after this and forced the Autobots to go along with his plans to arrest Hot Rod, despite Bee's attempts to tell him to bugger off. They ended up tracking down Hot Rod and his little group--which did consist of some Decepticons--and well, it turned out that the 'Cons were, surprise surprise!, using Hot Rod and Bee was almost choked to death by one of the 'Cons but luckily saved by the timely arrival of Thundercracker who was really just fed up with the war and tended to side more with the Autobots these days.

The following battle was a rough one and, of course, made the entire world wary of the Cybertronians, which forced the Autobots to once more enter a formal arrangement with Skywatch--this time without the kill switches. The events that followed really didn't play out in the Autobots favor, what with the president of the United States declaring all Cybertronians enemies. The resulting backlash was horrible and Bee went before the media to try and cool things down but was badly wounded by a shot fired from the audience. Ratchet informed him that it would take awhile to find a replacement leg joint so Bee was stuck walking with a cane.

It was about this time that Hot Rod arrived back on Earth with Ironhide and Sunstreaker..and the matrix of leadership. Bee lost all standing that he had after that and the majority of the Autobots let with Hot Rod to retake Cybertron from Galvatron, leaving Bee on Earth with Prowl to deal with the 'Cons still remaining. It turned out that Skywatch had struck a deal with Swindle though and the remaining Autobots soon cut ties and returned to Cybertron themselves.

When they arrived back on Cybertron, the war had ended and the planet was somehow alive again, because of the massive restart it had received. Bee had his work cut out for him, taking over the leadership role once more because Optimus left and Rodimus did as well..with 200 Autobots on board the Lost Light that had apparently exploded upon launch.

Uniting a group of former Autobots, Decepticons, and non-aligned individuals was not easy and somewhere along the way Bee started sort of sharing command with Starscream and Metalhawk. The trio really didn't get along all that well but their differences had to be put aside when everything started going to hell on Cybertron. Mysterious disappearances kept claiming Autobots and rash outbursts against the Decepticons ended up in a riot starting, where it was revealed that Prowl was actually under Decepticon control--thanks Bombshell you ass. It was during all this that Megatron came back and took control of the 'Cons, restarting the war--or at least trying to.

The 'Bots that had thought to have died in the wasteland returned home and joined in the fight, giving the Autobots a slightly upper hand but it's no enough. The Autobots and Decepticons are defeated after the death of Metalhawk and forced from Iacon by the neutrals and their newly made leader Starscream. Bee and the other Autobots try to find someplace to go which leads to the tiny leader passing out from his injuries.

*Personality:
Bumblebee use to be very different from the bot he is now but when one gets shoulder with a lot of responsibility out of the blue, it tends to change a bot.

The weight of war has taken it's toll on Bumblebee. The sort of bright disposition that he once had is pretty much gone, replaced with a tired and worn out individual. He's been through a lot, all of the Autobots have really, and no matter how hard he tries things just don't ever go the way he wants them to go. His pride is barely there, Bee mostly feeling like a failure at times because of how out of hand things have gotten on the restarted Cybertron. He relies a lot on the faith that others put in him, though he's starting to realize how much of that faith has been false and really only said to make him feel better.

Bee wants nothing more than to do right by his fellow Autobots--his fellow Cybertronians--and truly does have the best interests in mind for those around him at all times. He's got a good 'heart' and while he can come off as uncaring at times because of how fed up he is with bullshit, he does take into consideration almost everything that's said to him or brought to his attention.

He's got himself quite the temper, though he's not as bad as Cliffjumper let's just get that out there right now, and will not hesitate to go toe to toe with others if he has to stand up for something he believes in. Bee has long since stopped taking crap from others, for the most part, and tries his best to do what his 'heart' is telling him to do. He wants his decisions to be his own and has no desire to play into the political games that others are trying to play back home but Bee does fumble. A lot.

He does recognize his mistakes though, acknowledges them even, and will try to make things right if he can. While it doesn't always work, sometimes he can get the ball rolling in the right direction again and that gives him a little more hope than he might have had before.

Underneath it all though, Bee really just wants to give up. The stress, the exhaustion, the pain, the confusion--it's all a lot for any individual to bear and he can barely keep going somedays. It's the thought that he might be able to do some sort of good for Cybertron that keeps him going--that and he really just doesn't want to admit defeat to Metalhawk and Starscream--and everything he does and all the fighting he's still doing now even after the end of the war, is for Cybertron.

Is he happy?

That's...up for debate really. But Bee has long since decided that his happiness doesn't matter; the happiness and contentment of his fellow Cybertronians is more important, even if he doesn't show it all the time. He's got good intentions..he's just getting crushed by those around him most of the time. The sad part of it all is that Bee does have the potential to be a good leader, he proved as much when the Autobots were still on Earth, but there's just so much chaos surrounding him on Cybertron that he can't get things going the way he wants. If he stepped his game up and really took charge he might have a chance, and he is starting to get better at just taking the reigns but, well, he still lacks a lot of the confidence needed.

All in all, Bee's a pretty decent individual if you don't piss him off. War's just gotten the best of him really and he hasn't had a chance to get any of it back.

*Powers/Abilities:

*Inventory:
+Bee walks with a cane a lot of the time but he doesn't really need it. It's kind of a mental thing, if anything. The cane is also a stun gun type of deal as well but let's not talk about the fact that Bee feels the need to have a stun gun with him at all times.

*Starting Polarity: Hm....You know what, since I have no idea, surprise me! BD

If AU, how does your character differ from canon?: N/A

Writing Samples
*First Person Sample:
[The video cuts on and the figure in view looks...confused but is trying to cover it up with a rather annoyed and gruff look about him. He's repaired, which is the biggest part of why he's confused, but then there's also the whole 'being on a Cybertron that looks nothing like the Cybertron he left behind' thing.]

Not that I don't think the...Acoloyte? That was here wasn't telling the truth--

[Okay, no, actually he doesn't really trust anyone he doesn't know so he's hesitant to believe what he was told.]

--but anyone want to...tell me again what's going on?

[Bee frowns some, reaching up to rub his helm slightly, as if he's expecting there to be dents and damage.]

The last thing I remember was Starscream forcing us to leave Iacon...and then I collapsed. I think.

[Primus, was this all just a dream?]

...Or were we attacked....Wait--Ironhide? Prowl? Is anyone else here?

*Third Person Sample:
Bee hadn't ventured too far outside of the temple he'd woken up in. In fact, he'd made it outside to the steps before he found himself sinking down, a little..shocked and in awe of everything that was around him. It was definitely Cybertron but so very different from the Cybertron he'd left behind. It looked...alive.

His spark ached a bit, wishing that this was actually the Cybertron he'd been on but something like that was only too good to hope for.

They just weren't that lucky in reality.

His grip on his cane tightened and he looked down, shaking his head slightly before pushing himself to stand once more. The cane immediately rested against the ground as he steadied himself, relying on the familiarity of it to keep himself grounded as he started down the steps to get a closer look at everything--to explore this oddly revived and renewed Cybertron.

It seemed so unfair that this place existed and had been restored like it was and his Cybertron had been brought back to nothing.

"That's our kind of luck," he murmured to himself rather bitterly, vents cycling as he started away from the temple, forcing himself to cover the slight limp he still had as he went, grip tight on the cane.
